Mr. Calello was born on Feb. 14, 1961, in Boston. He was a graduate of Villanova University and received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He spent two years at the Federal Reserve and was on a team that helped oversee the government bailout of Continental Illinois, which at the time was the largest bank failure in American history. He was also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is survived by his wife, Jane DeBevoise, and four children.
