Brett D Weinblatt

Brett D. Weinblatt is senior vice president and chief accounting officer of Avis Budget Group, Inc. In that role, he is responsible for all Company accounting functions, including internal and external financial reporting, general accounting, financial systems, internal controls, accounting policy and payroll. In addition, Mr. Weinblatt oversees the Company's shared services center located in Virginia Beach which is responsible for accounts payable, credit and collections, licensing and registration, loss prevention, and various other field administration activities. Mr. Weinblatt joined the Company in July 2005 when he was named senior vice president and controller. Prior to this, Mr. Weinblatt held various senior leadership finance positions with Alpharma Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, including chief financial officer of the animal health and human pharmaceutical division, from June 2002. Prior to joining Alpharma Inc., Mr. Weinblatt held various senior finance positions at Honeywell International Inc. (formerly AlliedSignal), including corporate planning & analysis and mergers and acquisitions, from September 1995. Mr. Weinblatt began his career working with Deloitte & Touche LLP for five years. Mr. Weinblatt holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Rutgers College and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
