Beth A. Bombara has been the Chief Financial Officer of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. since July 1, 2014. Ms. Bombara serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hartford Life Insurance Company. Ms. Bombara served as Executive Vice President and President of Talcott Resolution at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. since July 2012. She served as the Chief Accounting Officer of Hartford Life Insurance Company. She served as a Senior Vice President and Controller of Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., from June 4, 2007 to July 2012 and served as its Chief Accounting Officer and its President of Life Runoff since July 2012. She joined Hartford in April 2004 as a Vice President, with primary responsibility for compliance with the internal control requirements set forth in Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Ms. Bombara served as Vice President, Deputy Controller, with responsibility for external financial reporting, accounting policy and internal management reporting, while continuing to oversee Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance. Prior to Hartford, she worked for the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP from June 2002 to April 2004, where she served as a Senior Manager in the Audit Practice. She began her career in Accounting at the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP, where she served as an Audit Partner since September 2001. Ms. Bombara serves as a Director of Hartford Life Insurance Company. A certified public accountant, Bombara earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bryant University.
