Mrs. Sara Morgan has been involved in volunteer, civic and political activities for over fifty years in all of the places she has lived (MO, VA, DC, FL, TX). Sara is the co-founder and past chairman of the board of the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. The Center opened in September 2001, and it exists to educate about the product, process and history of contemporary crafts and to promote crafts and its artists in all of its forms. Sara currently serves on the board of the Center, and is a past board member of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Anderson Ranch Arts Center of Snowmass, Colorado; and the American Craft Council, New York City. She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey. She is also a member of the Houston Grand Opera's HGOco Committee. Sara attended the University of Missouri where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Sara is married to Bill Morgan and they have two children, Catherine and Mike, who is married to Chrissi. Sara and Bill are the proud grandparents of Emma, Will and Kate.
