A respected leader with more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Edward P. Kane is the director of catering for the Sheraton Hotels of New York. In this role, Kane directly oversees the operations, development, sales, and marketing of the catering sales operation. Kane has been with the hotel since 1969, when it was the Americana Hotel of New York. He is active in many travel industry organizations as well as community activities. Kane serves as chairman for the Governor’s Tourism Advisory Council; is a board member of the New York Convention Center Operating Corporation (Jacob K. Javits Convention Center); is a [the?]commissioner for Long Island State Parks; and is a member of the New York City Sports Development Corporation.
