In 2009 Ian became an independent telecommunications consultant, prior to that he was a Vice-President at ADC Telecommunications following their acquisition of LGC Wireless Inc. for $169 million in November 2007 where Ian was President & CEO. Previously Ian was President & COO of interWAVE Communications Int'l Ltd., a GSM and CDMA equipment manufacturer. In that role, he led interWAVE's NASDAQ IPO in 2000, raising $120 million, and subsequently acquired a number of private companies to broaden the product line and market reach. Earlier in his 30 plus year career, Ian spent 23 years at Nortel Networks, playing key executive roles in a number of business units, including 10 years in the Wireless Group, where he was VP, Business Development. Ian holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of London, and an M.S. in Physics and MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Ian also sits on the boards of IB Wave Inc. and Cellvine Ltd..
