Louis G. Elson co-founded Palamon Capital Partners in 1999 and is Managing Partner and head of the Operating Committee. He is an American national. As a former London-based partner of Warburg Pincus, Mr Elson has extensive experience in European private equity. Before joining Warburg Pincus, he was involved in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co and in publishing at Time Inc. Mr Elson attended Phillips Academy Andover, Eton College and received a BA with honours from Harvard University and an MBA with honours from the Colgate Darden School at the University of Virginia. He serves as a Charter Trustee of Phillips Academy Andover, a Trustee of The Colgate Darden School and previously was a member of Harvard University's Task Force on Academic Resources. Mr Elson is a member of the Mid-Market Committee of the British Venture Capital Association and is also a member of the BVCA’s Research Advisory Board. He is Chairman of Impetus Trust and serves on the Development Board of The Prince’s Trust. Mr Elson is also Chairman of arts.works, Ltd, a Trustee of the Hobson Foundation for Classical Studies and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
