David Bass joined Qorvis Communications in 2003 from The Weekly Standard where he served as deputy publisher for six years. Bass’s 15 years of media experience includes The Washington Times, National Journal, Campaigns & Elections (including its grassroots and political training division) and The Hill Newspaper. In various publishing capacities, his work has included marketing, public relations, business development, strategic planning, media strategy and editorial contributions. Bass currently leads Qorvis’ business development and strategic planning. Bass counsels major media companies as well as providing government relations and regulatory counsel for clients with the Departments of State, Energy, Treasury, Commerce and Defense as well as extensive work with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and state Departments of Insurance. Has served on various White House commissions abroad. Member of the President’s Council of the Heritage Foundation as well as the Advisory Council of the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. As well, he served as an elected member of the DC Republican Central Committee for ten years. Regular political commentator, having appeared on CNBC and live weekly on the Fox News channel.
