Mike co-founded Worldview in 1996, and has over 18 years of experience as a venture capitalist. He has successfully invested in communications, internet, software, and semiconductor start-ups. Mike has been named by Forbes Magazine as one of the Top 100 Venture Capitalists on the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009 Midas Lists. Mike has led successful investments into leading companies such as Accelerant Technologies, AFC, Aeluros, Ciena, Collation, Corvis, Cosine, Cyras, DigitalThink, IGN.com, NVIDIA, Netcore, Obsidian, Oplink, Redstone, Tellium and Tivoli. Mike currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Loglogic and Wavemaker, and was a Board observer at Infinera. Mike also serves as a board member of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, the Stanford DAPER Investment Fund, the Stanford Cancer Center Advisory Board and was formerly on the Stanford Athletic Board. Mike is also a member of the SF Bay YPO Chapter. Before founding Worldview, Mike was a Fund Manager at JAFCO, where he spearheaded the firm’s investments in numerous successful companies. Prior to this, he was a Research Analyst at Robertson Stephens & Company where he covered the computer systems industry and worked on financings for companies such as Dell Computer and Sun Microsystems. Mike earned an M.B.A. degree and a B.A. degree, both from Stanford University. At Stanford, Mike taught a course on entrepreneurship, and created the first business plan competition for Stanford student entrepreneurs.
