John Larson has maintained an active practice in corporate, M&A, and securities law for nearly 40 years. Larson became a partner in the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in 1969, and was the firm's CEO from 1988 through 1996, before joining Morgan Lewis with other former Brobeck partners in 2003. Larson also served as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Interior (1971-1973) and as Counselor to George Shultz, Chairman of the Cost of Living Council (1973). He is listed in Who's Who in America and in The Best Lawyers in America. He is a member of the Board of Directors of public and private companies. Larson holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and a JD from Stanford Law School. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and sat on the executive editorial staff of the Stanford Law Review. Morgan, Lewis and Bockius is outside counsel to the company.
