A Colgate University graduate, Lindsay Pohlad attended culinary school at The Art Institutes International and was at one time national director of food service sales for Talenti Gelato. With two other Pohlad family women she co-founded The Good Acre, a non-profit whose mission is to promote a more equitable and sustainable food system. She married Tom Pohlad, a grandson of former Minnesota Twins owner and Pohlad Cos. founder Carl Pohlad, in 2006, according to a wedding announcement in the New York Times. Then a financial analyst in the Chicago office of Minneapolis-based NorthMarq Capital, a mortgage banking firm focused on the commercial real estate industry, Tom Pohlad is now CEO of Shoreview-based robotic crane manufacturer PaR Systems Inc., which is also owned by Pohlad Cos.
