Evan Corcoran is a former Assistant United States Attorney whose practice involves civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Govt. Service: 1992 – 2000, US Attorney’s Office, Washington, DC. As an AUSA, Mr. Corcoran tried more than 30 jury trials, and presented 20 appellate oral arguments, and investigated scores of complex criminal matters. He spent one year detailed to the US Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Virginia, trying obstruction of justice, homicide, and conspiracy cases. For his work, he received special achievement awards, as well as commendations from head of the FBI, and the Attorney General of the United States. 1987 – 1992, US House of Representatives, Appropriations Committee, Washington, DC. As the assistant to the ranking member of a subcommittee, Mr. Corcoran participated in all aspects of the legislative, appropriations, and oversight processes.
