Douglas George has been involved in property development in Boston since 1992. After graduating from Boston Latin School and then Boston University, he bought his first house out of foreclosure from Fannie Mae. As the person charged with leading the development team at Urban Neighborhood Homes, llc he is committed to its ideal. Trained as an engineer, he supervised a team of engineers as Lead Field Engineer on a large Big Dig construction project ($65M) and then, after completing the coursework for a MS in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Doug went to work for RF Walsh Company as a Senior Project Manager. He oversaw a team that served as the owner’s representative on large projects including the Renovation of Boston Latin School ($33M) and the Medford Public Schools ($100M). Later, assignments included working on Beacon Capital Partner’s Channel Center Project (condominiums) and the Kenney/Walsh JV at Harrison Commons (condominiums and apartments in the South End/South Bay area).
