Chi-Hua Chien joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 2007. At KPCB he focuses on investments in the iFund (mobile applications), consumer internet, and digital media infrastructure. Prior to KPCB, Chi-Hua worked with Accel Partners as a Venture Advisor and Associate focusing on software as a service, consumer Internet, and online advertising infrastructure. Chi-Hua was instrumental in Accel's investments in AdECN (acquired by MSFT) and Facebook, while also working on the firm's investments in BitTorrent, fbFund, Glam, Trulia, and YuMe Networks. Previously, Chi-Hua was the Director of Marketing at hosted software provider Coremetrics, where he led the marketing and inside sales teams as the company grew from 20 to more than 200 customers. He also served as the company's interim CFO through two rounds of venture funding. Chi-Hua's prior roles include corporate development at Google, business development at start-up eCoverage, and investment banking with Morgan Stanley's Technology Group. Chi-Hua has an MS in Industrial Engineering, BS in Industrial Engineering, and BA in Economics, all from Stanford University where he was named a Mayfield Fellow and President's Scholar. He also earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
