Ed Casey was appointed Chief Executive Officer for IDEMIA Identity & Security USA LLC in January, 2018. Before joining IDEMIA, Casey spent 12 years with Serco Group plc, a UK based provider of public services in defense, transport, immigration, healthcare and other citizen services. He held various senior management positions at Serco Group, including Acting Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board of Directors. When he first went to the UK with Serco Group, the company had nearly $8 billion in revenue and approximately 125,000 employees He previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Serco's Americas Division. Under Casey's leadership, the Americas business tripled in size and successfully integrated two acquisitions: RCI and SI International. Prior to Serco, Casey held senior management positions in the energy, investment banking and private equity fields. He served as Group President of LG&E Energy and as President and Chief Operating officer of Tenneco Energy, where he was responsible for one of the nation’s largest natural gas pipeline systems. He later founded NP Energy, which grew to be the 14th largest electricity marketer in the United States in its second year of operation. He was a Managing Partner of the Fremont Group, where he was responsible for private equity investments in the communications, energy and infrastructure sectors. Casey began his career in investment banking with The Blackstone Group and other Wall Street firms, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
