George Hecksher

George Hecksher is a private investor who has been investing in growth companies for over 30 years. For 15 years before his retirement in 2001, George was a General Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Hintz, Holman and Hecksher, a New York based hedge fund. Prior to that, George managed the Alliance Technology Fund, a pioneering mutual fund dedicated to investing in technology companies. George began his career as a Research Analyst at Hambrecht and Quist, an investment bank specializing in early stage technology and healthcare companies. George is a Board Member of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, serving as Vice-President for Collections. He also serves on the Finance Committee, the Investment Committee and the Nominating Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Overseers of the Curtis School of Music in Philadelphia, and sits on the Investment Committee of San Francisco Performances, a performing arts organization in San Francisco.
