Neil A Simmons

Neil Simmons serves as Vice President of Client Services for Altria. His department provides financial analysis and budgeting services for Altria’s Smokeable and Smokeless reporting segments. Together, these segments had 2011 revenues in excess of $23 billion.Neil joined the Altria family of companies in 1986 at PM USA, where he served in various Finance capacities. He served as the Plant Controller for PM USA’s Richmond Manufacturing Center and its former Louisville Manufacturing Center, which closed in 2000. In addition, Neil held various director-level Finance positions at PM USA, including Director of Financial Controls, Sarbarnes-Oxley, Disbursements and Marketing & Sales. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer for John Middleton Co., which has leading brands in the machine made cigar tobacco category. Prior to assuming his current role, Neil served as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for ALCS, where he led the team that integrated U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company into the Altria family of companies (an $11.7 billion acquisition). Neil earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Hampton University and started his career with Goodman & Company (now Dixon Hughes & Goodman LLP), one of the largest certified public accounting firms in the Mid-Atlantic.
