Since her appointment in June of 2006, Ms. King has initiated the transformation of business operations, information technology, finance, and research administration while developing a culture of transformation across all areas of financial and business operations. It is her goal to strengthen a strategic approach and improvements to operations, including finance, procurement, and research administration. Ms. King has also been instrumental in strengthening the labor-management partnership. Before joining Yale, Ms. King spent the majority of her career at PepsiCo, where she worked in various capacities in several different operating divisions. Most recently she was President of PepsiCo Shared Services, Global Chief Information Officer, and Chief Transformation Officer. Her efforts were instrumental in initiating a transformation of PepsiCo from a highly decentralized company into one that shares business processes and IT systems across its divisions. Before joining PepsiCo in 1982, she was a staff accountant at Price Waterhouse. From 1994 to 1998, she was president of a consulting firm in Texas, providing management and operations advice to several major companies. She returned to PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division in 1998, first as Vice President of Field Finance and later as Vice President and General Manager of the Club Channel, before joining PepsiCo corporate. Ms. King earned a B.S. in psychology from St. Lawrence University and an M.B.A. in accounting and finance from Cornell University.
