Regina Lombardo Regina has a account Acting Director - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Washington D.C. Metro Area 5 connections Contact info ATF University of South Florida About Experienced Acting Director Director - Agency Head - with a history of working in the law enforcement industry. Highly skilled in Governmental Affairs, Internal Controls, Security Operations, recruiting and Leadership Development. Strong media and communication professional with global experience in building trusting relationships. As an ATF special agent for over 27 years starting my career by working the streets of Miami and loving every minute of being a street agent, I never ever imagined I would one day be leading the women and men of this great organization. I have always stayed present to the work that was in front of me, never looked too far ahead or too far back but just enough to be reminded of my roots. Staying true to who I am, being humble, compassionate, hard-working and being devoted to the life of service and public safety. Being the first female acting ATF Director is one of, if not, the greatest honor of my professional life. I reflect back on my path, my life experiences and come to know that the unexpected path truly bears the best fruit. I come from a close-knit Italian family, born and raised in New York City and chose the road less traveled by anyone I know. It has led me to a life of service and a life of profound experiences and opportunities. As I lead ATF into 21st century policing, I am mindful of staying true to my leadership style, the balance of being authentic, keeping it real and speak from the heart while staying focused and firm on making critical decisions that affect people’s lives. I subscribe to the Philosophy of many military leaders of mission first, people always. I enjoy being in the flow of my work and inspiring and motivating others to find their flow, their rhythm, their drumbeat. I am excited for the future of ATF and will continue to lead a world-class organization to achieve mission success as its now a labor of love. Regina Lombardo.
