Winsome E Sears

Winsome Sears of Frederick County was appointed to the Board of Education in February 2011 by Governor Robert F. McDonnell. Ms. Sears serves as chairman of the College Partnership Laboratory Schools Committee. Ms. Sears is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the House of Delegates in 2002 and 2003, representing portions of Chesapeake, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. She is the president of an appliance, plumbing and heating firm. Ms. Sears is a graduate of Old Dominion University and earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Regent University.
