John Bowes

John Bowes became superintendent of the Davis Joint Unified School District in 2016. Previously, he worked for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District and held various positions in the Los Angeles Uni- fied School District. He also served as the lead negotiator in LA from 2009 to 2013, working to save thousands of jobs and keep the school district fiscally solvent during the Great Recession. He completed his doctoral research at UCLA.
