John Webre has led Dreyfuss + Blackford for more than three decades. Raised on a sugar plantation in rural Cuba, he left the country as a refugee at age 9. “I chose architecture because of my curious nature and love of projects,” says Webre. “Architects are in a unique position to have real impact on people’s lives and the shape of their communities.”
