Michael Burgess is Executive Vice President of the Consumer Division of FTD, where he leads the operations for all consumer sales for FTD in North America. Prior to FTD, Mr. Burgess was the Vice President and General Manager of Consumer and Florist Internet Businesses at Teleflora, a floral services and products company. He also served as the President of Better Life Media, a producer and distributor of life improvement media, selling the company to a private equity fund. Previously, Mr. Burgess was an Entrepreneur In Residence at Selby Venture Partners, a venture capital fund. Prior to this, he served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ForRetail, an enterprise software company, and in product management roles at CrossWorlds Software (acquired by IBM) and Intuit. Mr. Burgess was also formerly a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co. Mr. Burgess received a Bachelor's degree in Commerce majoring in Finance and a Bachelor of Laws degree, both from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He also received a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford University, graduating with Honors.
