Kirk D Hendrick

Kirk Hendrick is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He joined the company in 2002, and previously served as the organization’s General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer. Kirk has overseen virtually every facet of the UFC organization, including business and legal affairs, event operations, government and regulatory affairs, and human resources. He also has negotiated, drafted and advised on thousands of sports and entertainment agreements, including multi-million dollar domestic and international television agreements, digital rights agreements, professional athlete agreements, company acquisition agreements, arena agreements, and licensing agreements. Prior to joining UFC Kirk was Of Counsel to the Las Vegas firm of Jones Vargas. Kirk's private practice focused on gaming and sports law matters, primarily boxing and mixed martial arts. His clients included World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Lennox Lewis, who Kirk helped form a promotional company that allowed Lewis to become one of the first active boxers to be licensed as a promoter. Kirk also advised Lewis' Lion Promotions in finding a suitable venue for the famous Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson bout that was held in Memphis, Tennessee in 2002. Kirk previously worked for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, where he was recruited in 1993 to lead a new Workers’ Compensation Fraud Unit in Southern Nevada. After two years as a prosecutor, Kirk moved to the Attorney General's Gaming Division that provides counsel to the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Nevada Gaming Commission. While in the Gaming Division, Kirk was first promoted to Senior Deputy Attorney General for the Division's Las Vegas Office, and later promoted to Chief Deputy for the statewide Gaming Division. Kirk also served for three years as legal counsel for the Nevada Athletic Commission. Kirk is a graduate of Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He was a two-term student government president at UNLV, and also served for many years on the Board of Directors for the UNLV Alumni Association.
