We at CASE have been working on this for nearly two years, scouring the planet, filming and interviewing people in the trenches and in boardrooms, and building a crowd-sourced, scalable, online guidebook that can help impact entrepreneurs be more efficient and effective throughout their investment capital raising journey. We’ve learned a lot and have had a very successful year working with partner organizations like MIT, Stanford, USAID, Uncharted, and Spring. To date, over 2000 users in over 100 countries have used pieces of the toolkit while it was in development. That includes 500 entrepreneurs getting access directly through our pilot partnerships. Our pilot partners have helped us affirm these tools are effective: 95% of a recent user cohort told us the tools helped them become more sophisticated at raising capital, and 85% of them recommended we make them available to their peers. So here’s the big news: on October 10 Smart Impact Capital will be available to ANY entrepreneur trying to have impact in the world! We’re very excited. We hope you’ll join us to plug into our new online toolkit to help all impact entrepreneurs fuel their impact: CASE Smart Impact Capital. Visit our platform to get a sneak peek of what’s inside, download a free tool, and to register for the series. Once you register, you’ll have access to over 12 hours of tools, guides, downloadables, resources, spreadsheets, and more, all at your fingertips, from anywhere in the world. "I got more [from Cathy's social entrepreneurship class] than I knew was possible. Going in, I thought social entrepreneurship was solely about the social entrepreneur - aka the ability to pitch what you believe in. What I learned was that the systems around the entrepreneur, and the world of entrepreneurship as a whole, demands bigger, more collaborative thinking. This broadening helps me think about my organization, and how I can focus on scaling something that actually gets at solving a root cause for a long time to come." "This has been the most rewarding course I've taken at Fuqua to date. Thank you for giving us such a challenging, stimulating course, Cathy!" "It should be said – without your class, I wouldn’t be where I am now and wouldn’t be able to share what I do. I hope I make you proud with it!" --Fuqua '08 alumna Suzanne Smith, Managing Director, Social Impact Architects “Your Impact Investing course was one of my very favorite classes I've taken thus far at Fuqua." "I have to say that social entrepreneurship was an amazing course. As an MPP student with 4 years of previous government experience, I have been struggling with whether returning to the government is the best way to have an impact. I previously viewed the social sector and private sector as a complete dichotomy. Your class has given me an entirely new perspective and a new set of tools for analyzing the alignment of mission, finances, and stakeholders that I can leverage in a broad range of environments. If I had known about the field of social entrepreneurship earlier, I may have chosen an MBA instead of an MPP. Thanks so much for exposing me to this field." --Colin Walsh, Master of Public Policy Candidate, Class of 2014 See less B Lab Member, B Lab Standards Advisory Council and Champion, B Corporation movement Company NameB Lab Dates EmployedApr 2010 – Present Employment Duration9 yrs 2 mos LocationBerwyn, PA • Consultant and Co-author, B Corporation survey.
