In March 2019, Lauren Salzman confessed to participation in "some of the criminal objectives of the enterprise [NXIVM]" including "knowingly and intentionally harboring …a woman …in a room in the home in the Northern District of New York and threatened to deport [her] back to Mexico if she did not complete labor." As well, she confessed that she "knowingly and intentionally took and withheld property from… two women. …This property was referred to… as 'collateral' which consisted of material or information that belonged to these [women] because it could be personally damaging or ruinous… The property obtained which was considered collateral included credit card authorizations, sexually explicit photos and videos, and rights to assets and property." Lauren Salzman is due to be sentenced in September 2019.
