David A. Gallo is a founding partner in the law firm of David A. Gallo & Associates LLP. His area of concentration is real estate law. Mr. Gallo, a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross and St. John’s University School of Law, has been a member of the New York State Bar Association since 1981. He is also a member of the Queens County Bar Association and is admitted to the Federal District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Gallo is a member of the Committee on Character and Fitness for the 2nd, 10th and 11th Judicial Districts. The Committee on Character and Fitness screens potential candidates for admission or readmission as attorneys in the State of New York. In 2017, the Chief Judge of the State of New York, the Honorable Janet D. Fiore, appointed Mr. Gallo to the Special Commission on the Future of the New York City Housings Courts. Mr. Gallo served a three-year term on the Advisory Council of the Housing Part of the Civil Court of the City of New York. He was elected as the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Housing Part of the Civil Court of the City of New York in 1999. In January 2006, Mr. Gallo began serving a new three-year term on the Advisory Council of the Housing Part of the Civil Court of the City of New York. Pursuant to the New York City Civil Court Act, Section 110, the Advisory Council of the Housing Part of the Civil Court of the City of New York reviews and makes recommendations on applicants seeking appointment and judges seeking re-appointment to the Housing Court bench. Mr. Gallo was re-appointed to the Housing Court Advisory Council in October 2012 by the Honorable A. Gail Prudenti, Chief Administrative Judge of the State of New York.
