Robert Charles Brumder age 96.5 was born during a blizzard at his family home in Milwaukee on March 9, 1918. He went to his happy hunting ground during a rainstorm at his family home on North Lake on October 3, 2014. Preceded in Death by his parents, William Charles and Thekla Uihlein Brumder; brother, Bill; sisters, Emily, Katie, Teckie; his wife and best pal for 67 years, Barbara Blakney Brumder and their beloved son Charles Pierce Brumder. Survived by daughters Thekla Brumder Sanford (Richard) and Amy Brumder Nunnally (Scott); daughter-in-law Kathryn Gardner Brumder; sons, Robert Blakney Brumder (Kathy) and David Hopkins Brumder. He was known as Opi to his grandchildren, Kayt Brumder Pereira (Jorge), Fritz Brumder (Molly), Blakeney Sanford-Williams (Bennett), Bradley Brumder Wabiszewski (Eddie), Ellery Brumder Thomas (Quentin), Thekla Brumder Ross (Dylan), Karley, Lexi and Eily Brumder, Sophie and Avery Nunnally and great grandchildren: Reina Williams, Augie, Charlotte, Molly, and Tommy Wabiszewski, Solari and Ike Brumder, Fausto Brumder Pereira and Leo Brumder Thomas. Graduate of Middlesex School, Concord, MA and Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, where he majored in history, a life long passion. Bob was owner and President of Waukesha Cutting Tools. He served on the boards of Joseph Schiltz Brewing Company, First Wisconsin Bank and was on the board and President of Chenequa Country Club, Village of Chenequa and University Lake School of which he was also a founder. Bobby was an avid traveler and hunted in Alaska, Canada, Africa and Arizona with his beloved wife "Blanche". He enjoyed the Arizona desert and Castle Hot Springs during his youth; returning with his family to vacation at Rancho de Los Caballeros in Wickenburg Arizona where later he and Barbara wintered at their home.
