Most recently, Linda was the 2008 Democratic nominee for United States Congress, District 1, South Carolina. She took 48% of the vote, narrowly losing to a 4-term incumbent in a District which had been Republican for the past 28 years . Linda is President of KSI Leadership and Management Development. Prior to co-founding KSI, she was Director of Organization Development for Food Lion Stores, responsible for New Product Design with the Center for Creative Leadership; and, Manager of Organization Development for Smith Kline Corporation. She has been adjunct professor at UNC-G and the College of Charleston. Active in her community, she has served as President of The Coastal Community Foundation. Having established the Women’s Fund, Ketner Fund and Fund for Social Justice at the Coastal Community Foundation, she oversees grants to community organizations working for solutions to social problems. She holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; M.A. from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro; and completed work toward her unfinished Ph.D. at both Duke and Emory Universities.
