Lizzette Gonzalez Reynolds Vice President of Policy, Foundation for Excellence in Education Lizzette Gonzalez Reynolds is the Vice President of Policy for the Foundation for Excellence in Education, bringing almost three decades of policy and legislative experience at both the state and federal lev Formerly, Ms. Reynolds was the Chief Deputy Commissioner for the Texas Education Agency (TEA) where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the agency and engaged and collaborated with education stakeholders in the development, implementation and delivery of education programs and initiatives throughout Texas. Prior to her work at TEA, Reynolds worked with the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) as the representative for the five states represented within Region VI: Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. At the USDOE she was the congressional liaison to the primary education and workforce committees in the U.S. Congress and U.S. Senate. Reynolds was Legislative Director for a Texas State Senator and then-Governor George Bush. Reynolds is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
