Mr. Nitze was a special assistant United States attorney in Baltimore. He graduated from Harvard and received a law degree from Yale. He is a son of Ann Kendall Richards Nitze and William A. Nitze of Washington. The groom’s mother is an independent art dealer in New York. His father is the chairman of Oceana Technologies, an underwater tidal power company in Washington and the chairman of Clearpath Technologies, a company in Irvine, Calif., that produces explosive detection equipment. From 1987 to 1990, the groom’s father was a deputy assistant secretary of state; from 1994 until 2000, he was the assistant administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. His paternal grandfather, the late Paul H. Nitze, was the secretary of the Navy from 1963 to 1967 and a founder of the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins.
