Alex van der Zwaan

Van Der Zwann, according to a just-deleted LinkedIn page, was an associate in the London office of international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom. His father-in-law is German Khan, a billionaire who filed suit in October against Fusion GPS, the investigation firm behind a partly unsubstantiated intelligence dossier that alleged Donald Trump's campaign colluded with the Russians. His former employer, Skadden Arps, worked on a report on behalf of the Ukrainian government that critics said sought to justify the false imprisonment of Ukraine's former prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko. The watchdog group Freedom House criticized the report's findings as "utterly baffling." Van der Zwaan's now-deleted biography on Skadden's site notes his work for clients including Ukraine's Ministry of Justice, a Ukrainian billionaire named Gennadiy Bogolyubov, and a firm in the United Kingdom that was involved in a dispute related to a Ukrainian mine.
