Early in his career Michael Myhre learned he was destined to help entrepreneurs and small business owners realize their dreams. For more than 20 years, and throughout his career, he has embraced this opportunity to turn his passion into purpose. Michael currently holds the position of Interim State Director for the Florida SBDC Network State Office under the University of West Florida’s Office of Economic Development & Engagement in Pensacola, Florida. Before coming to Florida he held the position of State Director for the Office of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development; the State of Minnesota’s lead office in entrepreneurial and small business policy development and support services, including its cornerstone program the Minnesota Small Business Development Center Network. Throughout his career he has held various positions in the field of small business assistance, development and education. Michael considers himself a steward for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business interests, and as a successful state based organizational leader, Myhre consistently operates from his base core value – success through integrity. Michael is a graduate of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and is a certified public accountant (inactive/unlicensed).
