Mr. Debs is a member of the Board of Directors of RS&H and serves as Executive Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He is responsible for advancing the firm’s brand and market position nationally and internationally. He serves as a member of RS&H’s Operation Managers Committee and Chairs the RS&H’s 401K Committee and International Committee. Prior to moving into the CMO position, Mr. Debs served as Senior Vice President and Director of RS&H’s national transportation and infrastructure practice, a practice that spans 14 states and the District of Columbia. He is a Professional Engineer in several states and is certified as Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He provides his expertise to clients, professional organizations and civic communities in the area of infrastructure planning, policy development, financing and program implementation. He has been active in the planning and design of transportations system for 35 years with responsibilities for many nationally-recognized and innovative highway, bridge, transit, rail and port projects. Mr. Debs is very active in professional and civic organizations. He has served as the Chair of several regional and statewide Growth Management committees and Chair of many statewide professional organizations and committees. He was the recipient of the 2008 Ben Watts Partnership Award by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the highest honor bestowed on a private sector practitioner by FDOT. Among previous honors, Mr. Debs was named Engineer of the Year by the Florida Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Mr. Debs earned his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Florida. Mr. Debs currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Jacksonville University Public Policy Institute and Executive Travel Magazine. He is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Florida Engineering Society, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Transportation Committee, Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) (Past Chair of Liaison Committee, Liability Task Force and others), Floridians for Better Transportation (Past Board Member), Leadership Jacksonville (Class of 1991) and Leadership Florida (Class XIV). He also serves as Chairman of the following committees at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Florida: Parish Council, Stewardship Committee and Finance Committee.
