Prior to joining MWW Group, Yehl served as Chief of Staff for Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) where he directed all aspects of legislative strategy, constituent services and press and media relations. He was instrumental in developing the legislative, media and operational strategy for the Senator’s Washington, D.C. and New Jersey operations. Additionally, Yehl helped open three offices in Washington, D.C. and New Jersey, building a staff of 40 employees. Through his career on the Hill, Yehl has extensive expertise developing legislative strategies in the Senate before the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, the Environment and Public Works Committee, the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Appropriations Committee. In both the House and Senate, he has led campaigns in such key areas as health care, telecommunications, environment and energy. By having senior positions in both chambers of Congress, Yehl is well acquainted with their respective procedures and what is required to achieve success in each house. Yehl has also acted as the Executive Director of the Monmouth County Democrats (NJ), where he led a team that managed campaigns, press and field operations for candidates. Yehl also was a government affairs representative for the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association where he organized grassroots mobilization of the association's 700 member companies in a successful effort to lobby Congress for changes in telecommunications legislation.
