Bob Gage is the founding partner of Gage Spencer & Fleming. He specializes in cases that require a combination of complex criminal, regulatory and commercial issues. He litigates issues that range from securities, commodities and FCPA to internet, media and intellectual property. Mr. Gage's expertise includes complicated domestic and international disputes. He has successfully represented foreign executives and entities in these matters from the Pacific Rim, the Middle East, the U.K. and Canada. Before private practice, he worked in the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York for six years as a criminal prosecutor. From 1988-1990 he served in the Securities and Commodities Fraud Unit where he tried major insider trading and other significant cases under then United States Attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani. Mr. Gage graduated from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and passed the Foreign Service Exam. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He served as a law clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable James C. Hill. After his clerkship he worked as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Following his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Mr. Gage went into private practice and founded the predecessor firm to Gage Spencer & Fleming. Mr. Gage sits on the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service Board of Visitors and is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elderhostel, Inc.
