Gary Williams

Williams, a Summa surgeon for 41 years, is the former medical director of the Summa Health Breast Center. He also has served as the chief of the Division of General Surgery, been president of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and president of the Medical Society of Greater Akron. Summa Health System on Wednesday, Oct. 4, announced a record $5 million donation from one of its physicians, Dr. Gary Williams, and his wife, Pamela. Pamela Williams is a lifelong educator who has worked in schools in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls and Worthington. She's a member of the University of Akron Foundation Board of Directors and serves on the university's President's Advisory Council, according to the release. The couple also donated $10 million to the University of Akron last year.
