Tom Aaron

Thomas J. Aaron joined Community Health Systems as Senior Vice President of Finance in November 2016 and was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2017. Aaron has had a distinguished career providing financial and operational counsel to national healthcare organizations. In 2016, he retired from national accounting firm Deloitte & Touche LLP after 32 years. From 2006 to 2016, he served as Tennessee Managing Partner, leading teams for many of the firm’s largest healthcare provider and payer clients, including Community Health Systems, Inc., most recently in 2013. His healthcare industry experience at Deloitte included audits of public and private companies, strategy and operations improvement consulting, mergers and acquisitions, financing and public equity offering services, and participation in numerous board and committee meetings. Aaron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a past member of its Health Care Committee. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a past board member of the Nashville Health Care Council. Aaron is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and serves as a Master of Accounting Advisory Board member for the University of Kentucky and Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
