The billionaire retailer who saved High Street fashion brand Jaeger has opened his first department store. Philip Day snapped up the ailing label to add to a growing empire that now includes Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Peacocks and Jane Norman. Married father-of-three Day was widely rumoured to have done the deal earlier this year as Jaeger teetered on the edge of collapse, but it only went through last week.
