Laura Menninger

Laura Menninger is an experienced trial lawyer who brings strategic vision and insight to her practice of civil litigation and criminal defense. She works tirelessly on behalf of corporate and individual clients who find themselves facing a myriad of difficult legal circumstances. Her practice focuses on business disputes of all sizes, white collar and general criminal defense, and any case destined for trial. Her clients praise her persuasive writing skills, her thoughtful analyses and problem-solving as well as her personal communication skills both in and out of the courtroom. Prior to law school, Laura worked in Goldman, Sachs & Co.’s Corporate Finance Department as a financial analyst, where she primarily focused on initial public offerings and public debt offerings for major corporations. Her corporate expertise serves her well in her legal practice where she appreciates and accounts for the business implications of her clients’ legal decisions. After graduating from Stanford Law School, Laura held a prestigious judicial clerkship with Hon. Lewis A. Kaplan, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where she further honed her writing and communication skills. Following that experience, Laura focused on commercial litigation with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, representing corporate clients on a range of matters including class actions, employment discrimination, and internal investigations alleging white collar crimes. Laura moved to Colorado in 2002 and chose to further develop her trial skills as a Deputy State Public Defender. She tried dozens of high-stakes matters to trial and successfully defended before juries clients wrongfully accused of homicide, sexual assault, robbery, theft, crimes of violence, and many drug offenses.
