Dr. Mohr joined the Huge Foundation as a director in 2010. Dr. Mohr is currently Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He received his A.B. and M.D. degrees from the University of North Carolina, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He did his post-doctoral medical training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. From 1987 to 1993, Dr. Mohr served as White House Physician on the staffs of President Ronald Reagan and President George Bush. In this assignment, he had responsibility for providing comprehensive medical care to the President of the United States and his family. At the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Mohr is actively involved in medical education, patient care, and research. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He has authored numerous scholarly publications and lectures both nationally and internationally. Dr. Mohr has served on numerous boards, including the Editorial Board of the medical journal CHEST, Board of Trustees of the CHEST Foundation, and Board of Governors of Nebraska Wesleyan University. He was appointed to the Board of Regents of the Uniformed Services University by President George W. Bush. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Mohr served in the U.S. Army as a commanding officer in the 101st Airborne Division, Republic of Vietnam. During his military career, Dr. Mohr received numerous decorations, including the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Air Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
