Terry Murphree died July 22, 2015, at the age of 78. In 1977 he co-founded United Steel Structures, Inc., (USSI) with the late Patrick Torrans. He subsequently launched two affiliated companies: United Steel Erectors, Inc., in 1980 and United Steel Fabricators, Inc., in 1981. Murphree became deeply involved in both politics and public policy, supporting candidates who shared his values and civic institutions dedicated to preserving traditional American values, constitutional freedoms and the rule of law. Among those organizations benefiting from his generosity are The Heritage Foundation and its sister organization, Heritage Action for America.
