Rebecca Haile is currently Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations at Foros, an independent strategic and M&A advisory boutique firm she helped establish in 2009. Rebecca is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Harvard Law Review, and of Williams College. After law school, she clerked for Judge Dorothy Nelson of the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and subsequently worked at Williams & Connolly in Washington, DC and more recently at Davis, Polk & Wardwell in New York, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions. Rebecca has authored Held at a Distance: My Rediscovery of Ethiopia, a memoir about her return to Ethiopia after her family’s forced exile following the 1974 revolution and twenty-five years in the United States, and has appeared as a frequent speaker before student and other groups. Rebecca is also a Trustee of Freedom House, the human rights organization, and is active in local organizations including having served as a member of Manhattan’s Community Board 6 from 2004 until 2012. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
