Noel Levine, Philanthropist, Photography Collector, Investor died Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home in New York City. He was 95. Mr. Levine, an avid collector of vintage 19th century and early modernist photographs and patron of the arts, was President of Troon Management Inc., a Real Estate and Equity Management firm in New York. Mr. Levine was the former Chairman and CEO of Associated Products. He was currently a Director of The Bank of Greenwich. Mr. Levine was Chairman Emeritus of the National Trustees of the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington, D.C. Mr. Levine and his wife, Harriette gifted their Photography Collection as well as an endowment to the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. The endowment will support acquisitions, research, and exhibitions. The Israel Museum has renamed its photography department, The Noel and Harriette Levine Department of Photography. In addition to the Israel Museum, Mr. Levine had gifted photographic works to the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum, both of which have named galleries in his honor. He was a member of the Central Synagogue, The Lotus Club, Sands Point Country Club all of New York; Rockrimmon Country Club of Connecticut; Palm Beach Country Club, Palm Beach Yacht Club and Society of Four Arts all of Palm Beach. He is survived by his wife, Harriette and their two daughters, Denise Saul and Caryn Harris, his sisters, Norma Shapiro and the late Myra Davis, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
