Angela McNamara

Ms. McNamara has over 10 years of experience in federal government acquisition and policy and in implementing business strategies that result in successful partnerships between government and industry. Her experience includes, federal contracting policy, strategic and business planning, and new market entry strategies. Ms. McNamara has extensive experience with the complex federal acquisition process in the Department of Defense, and has in-depth experience with the CHAMPUS and TRICARE programs including primary care, mental health, dental and pharmacy services, and DoD's health care information systems. For government clients, Ms. McNamara provides strategic guidance and assistance on acquisition reform issues and teaches a successful training course on Performance Based Contracting to government managers and contracting officials. Ms. McNamara was previously with the Air Force Association where her responsibilities included developing the Association's policy and legislative initiatives for all manpower and personnel issues in the active force, Reserve and Guard, civilian force, and retirees. As Chief of Manpower and Personnel, issues under her charge included compensation and incentives, force structure management, and benefits such as retirement and health care. In addition to developing policy and legislative initiatives, she also was responsible for regular communications with the Association's leadership including the board of directors, executive committee, state and chapter leaders. She also represented the Association on The Military Coalition, serving as the Coalition's National Secretary and co-Chair of its Health Care Committee. Ms. McNamara earned a Masters in Business Administration from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Old Dominion University.
