Mike Simpson

US Representative from Idaho (R-2 1999-present)

American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Idaho's 2nd congressional district since 1999. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected in the 1998 elections, succeeding Mike Crapo. He previously served as an Idaho State Representative (1984–1998) and was Speaker of the Idaho House of Representatives from 1992 to 1998. A 1997 graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine, Simpson practiced dentistry in Blackfoot, ID until his election to the US congress in 1998.
