Cheryl Scully has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since March 2014. In this role, Ms. Scully has executive responsibility for Internal and External reporting, Treasury, Tax Planning and Compliance, Purchasing, Payroll, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Financial Planning and Analysis, and the company’s Shared Service Center. Ms. Scully joined AutoNation in 2009 as Vice President and Treasurer responsible for overseeing the company’s capital markets, risk management, and cash management functions. In 2010, she also assumed responsibility for the company’s investor relations function. She previously worked for AutoNation (then Republic Industries) in the late 1990’s managing capital raising for AutoNation Financial Services and then leading international financing activities for Alamo and National Car Rental following the public spin-off from AutoNation. Ms. Scully has nearly 20 years of corporate finance experience, the majority of which has been with Fortune 300 organizations. She has over fifteen years of automotive industry experience including retail, rental, distribution and captive finance. Ms. Scully is a recipient of the Florida Diversity Council’s Glass Ceiling Award and was named one of Treasury & Risk Magazine’s “30 Outstanding Women in Finance”. Prior to re-joining AutoNation, Ms. Scully served as Vice President, Treasurer for JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a diversified automotive company. Ms. Scully also served as VP, Investor Relations and Treasury at ION Media Networks (formerly Paxson Communications). She began her career at Circuit City’s corporate headquarters in their financial management-training program. Ms. Scully holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Administration from James Madison University. She is an Advisory Board member for the Florida Institute of CFO’s, and serves on the Board of Directors for Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Intercoastal Division and the Broward Performing Arts Foundation.
