Jack works for Ashoka, a social sector organization which finds and supports social entrepreneurs, looking for the next generation of Moahammad Yunus. He works from his home in Miami, FL half time. Jack focuses on helping find and select social entrepreneurs from around the world, and he has interviewed more than 220 in 15 countries. In addition, Jack works with some social entrepreneurs helping them with the challenges of growing the social impact of their innovative new ideas which are creating systemic change. Jack is a retired executive from Cummins, Inc., a $10 billion company based in Columbus, Indiana. His last position with Cummins was President of Cummins Power Generation Business, a $1.4B business, based in London, England. He spent his 31-year career at the company working all over the world in various positions. While working for Cummins, in addition to his business responsibilities and achievements, Jack helped start a carpentry business for blind people in Mexico, which employs 100 blind people, started a school in Sao Paulo Brazil for 700 kids who were unable to attend school, and helped started a Women’s Engineering College in Pune, India where 1,000 women per year graduate. Jack is a CMC graduate (’66) and parent (’01), received an MA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and served in the Peace Corps in Colombia.
