Jack's (John) career included roles as a Press Assistant to Senate Majority Leader J. George Mitchell, expert witness and Financial Analyst at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and time at MetLife as a Utility Analyst. In 1998 Jack was recruited by Bryn Mawr Capital Management LLC, a hedge fund, where he was a portfolio manager and responsible for all energy and basic material related portfolios. In 2003, he accepted a position at The Vanguard Group where he was a Principal. He left Vanguard in October 2006 to start Harpswell Capital Management, LLC. Harpswell's main office was in Portland, Maine with a supporting office in Villanova, Pennsylvania. The firm managed two funds that earned attractive risk adjusted returns while taking minimal net market and commodity exposure. Harpswell's investors were predominately endowments, foundations and pensions. In May of 2012, Jack decided to return capital to the funds' limited partners to both spend time with family and focus on other initiatives. Mr. Moore resides in Yarmouth, Maine with his wife (Alison) and three sons and is very active in several civic and youth organizations. In addition to the United States Biathlon Foundation, Mr. Moore is a Trustee for the Portland Museum of Art and the Good Will- Hinkley School. He also serves on the investment committees for the University of Maine System and Maine Medical Center.
