Jeff Hyland, the Los Angeles real estate titan who helped usher in an era of modern-day celebrity brokers and gave shine to the city’s great historic estates, died Wednesday February 16 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 75. Founded in 1993 by Hyland and partner Rick Hilton, Hilton & Hyland has become one of the most recognizable brands in Southern California. Collectively, the company’s 130 agents do over $3.3 billion in annual sales. Hyland is also the author of The Legendary Estates of Beverly Hills and former president of both the Beverly Hills and LA County Board of Realtors.
